The new Echelon 16 SEER air conditioner from the Coleman brand of HVAC products made by Johnson Controls equips contractors with a premium unit that meets the efficiency requirements for a 2011 tax credit.

Attention all Los Angeles County Air Conditioning companies…

The Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010 extends the tax credits of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act into 2011, but at lower levels, offering tax credits totaling 10 percent of the cost of the improvement, up to $500. Installed alone, the Echelon 16 SEER unit qualifies for a $300 credit. When installed with an eligible coil/furnace/air handler combination, the entire system may qualify for the maximum $500 credit.
